Blitapp Platform Update: Codebase Modernization and Bug Fixes
We completed a major modernization of the Blitapp codebase and resolved a broad set of long-standing bugs. This work improves reliability today and gives us a much faster path for shipping improvements going forward.
What changed
We overhauled key parts of the application’s codebase:
- Modernized key parts of the backend and frontend architecture
- Reduced technical debt in core capture and automation paths
- Cleaned up older dependency and build workflows
- Improved consistency across services and shared modules
This wasn’t just cosmetic—our goal was to make everyday product work safer, faster, and easier to maintain.
Bug fixes and stability
Along with these upgrades, we fixed several bugs that affected reliability and predictability in production.
The fixes focused on:
- More consistent behavior across capture execution flows
- Better resilience around integrations and background jobs
- Fewer edge-case failures in app and capture history workflows
- Improved maintainability for future debugging and support
Why this helps users
These changes create immediate and long-term benefits for Blitapp users:
- Faster delivery of new features
- More reliable scheduled captures
- Shorter turnaround for fixes and improvements
- Better platform stability as usage grows
What this enables next
With a cleaner, more modern foundation, we can move more quickly on upcoming projects and reduce the risk of issues resurfacing. You’ll see faster progress on capture features, integrations, and overall product quality.
We appreciate your feedback and support as we continue improving Blitapp.
